The uSky Centre to Certify a New Track for uST Transport

The certification of Test Track No. 4 will be carried out by the independent international organization TÜV SW.

The uSky Test & Certification Centre is starting to certify the 2.4 km long Test Track No. 4. This section is designed to carry passenger and heavy-duty rolling stock with a speed of up to 150 km/h and a weight of up to 60 tons, including shipping containers.

An agreement of inspection with the independent international organization TÜV SW was signed by Anatoli Unitsky, author of uST transport and General Designer of Unitsky String Technologies Inc. The certification process is going to be held in two phases: the first stage is to inspect the supporting towers, and the second phase involves a third-party assessment. After that, a certificate of compliance with international safety standards will be issued, which will apply to the cargo and passenger stations and terminals, the supporting towers, and the semi-rigid track structure.

In 2021 TÜV SW certified the first test track at the uSky Test & Certification Centre – uST Transport & Infrastructure Complex with the flexible track structure of about 500 m in length. The certificate confirmed the safety of the essential components of the complex: the string rail overpass, the steel-wheeled electric car (uPod), the automated control system, the anchoring structures and supporting towers, as well as the passenger and service stations. The document enabled us to obtain permission from the local authorities to commission uST technology into pilot operation.
