The uSky Centre has completed the first stage of certification on the new route

The international organization TÜV SW has carried out the certification of supporting towers at test route No. 4. This confirmed the compliance of the structures with international safety standards.

Prior to that, an inspection agreement with the independent international organization TÜV SW was signed by Anatoli Unitsky, author of uST transport and General Designer of Unitsky String Technologies Inc. A month later, the first stage of work was completed: certification of supporting towers that accept vertical load and ensure the stability of the uST transport track structure was carried out. The evaluation of metal structures was performed in accordance with AWS and BS EN international standards.

A third-party assessment will take place at the second stage of certification. According to its results, a document will be issued for the entire test route and its infrastructure: cargo and passenger station and terminal, supporting towers, semi-rigid track structure. After that, test site No. 4 with the length of the rail-string overpass more than 2.5 km (taking into account the non-stressed section) will be put into operation. Passenger and cargo uPods weighing up to 60 tons will travel here at a speed of 150 km/h, including cargo containers.

The certification will facilitate obtaining an official permit from the Sharjah authorities for the pilot operation of uST transport and infrastructure complexes.

Such work took place for the first time in 2021. At that time, the uSky Testing and Certification Center received the first certificate of conformity from TÜV SW at test site No. 1 with a length of 400 meters.
