UST Inc.’s General Designer held a working meeting with employees of the uSky and uScovery Centers. The meeting focused on advancing international commercial projects using uST technology.
At a meeting held at the uSky Test & Certification Center, Anatoli Unitsky discussed progress in international markets, as well as engagement with customers and partners.

One of UST Inc.’s priority markets is India, where the company is working on a project commissioned by the government. In parallel, the company is pursuing local certification of uST technology in cooperation with TÜV India. Negotiations with authorities in Indian states regarding other projects are also ongoing. The launch of the country’s first commercial facility will demonstrate the capabilities of uST technology and lay the foundation for further expansion in this major transportation market.
In Nepal, a project spanning approximately 7 km is under development. The line is intended to connect a border crossing with India to a city bus station. A private investor has been secured for the project. The key tasks at this stage involve moving forward with financial commitments, refining passenger flow numbers, and determining the specifications of the future line.
As Anatoli Unitsky noted, the UAE remains one of UST Inc.’s priority markets. Preliminary approval has been obtained for a concession project. The company is also developing a tourist line approximately 7 km long, and a number of documents have already been signed.

During the meeting, UST Inc.’s General Designer also discussed progress in other areas.
In Indonesia, a line in the Depok area is under consideration. It would connect passengers with the main transportation network. The next stage will be the preparation of a feasibility study. In Malaysia, negotiations are underway with government and business representatives about developing a tourist complex. In Taiwan, a passenger line project connecting recreational areas in the city of Tainan is undergoing a three-month public consultation process.

During the meeting, Anatoli Unitsky emphasized the importance of systematically addressing technical, economic, and organizational challenges while securing concrete agreements with project stakeholders. The outcome depends on how quickly the projects can move from the approval stage to financing and construction.
“Our task is to bring international string transport projects to practical implementation. Each project is at a different stage, but the goal is the same: to move from preparation to operational commercial facilities,” Anatoli Unitsky said at the conclusion of the meeting.
