String technologies as a direction of modern high-speed transport

A scientific article by Anatoli Unitsky on the role of string transport in passenger traffic has been published in the journal “Transtechnika” of the Belarusian Research Institute of Transport (Minsk).

The article by the General Designer of UST Inc. and his co-author on the high-speed direction of uST technology is presented in the collection “Prospects for Development of the Transport Complex”. As the publication notes, the global demand for high-speed passenger transport will increase almost threefold by 2050 according to expert forecasts. The emerging niche can be occupied by uST transport and infrastructure complexes.

Thus, the subject of this article is the uFlash U4-362, whose speed reaches 500 km/h and more. Among its advantages are the best aerodynamics among vehicles (the coefficient of drag is not higher than 0.06), low consumption of electric energy (2-3 times less than in the case of electric and maglev railway transport) and low material consumption of structural elements of the string rail transport overpass on which the uFlash travels.
