Scientific articles by the General Designer and employees of UST Inc. have been included in the proceedings of the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Transport Safety Aspects".
The first presentation, "Structural Features of String Transport as the Basis for Its Comfort and Safety", discusses the design features of string transport and the systems used in passenger and cargo rail vehicles.
The second study, "Determination of the Mechanical Properties of Polyurethanes in the Wheels of uST String Rail Transport", explores the behavior of the polyurethane wheel under mechanical loads as the rolling surface of the wheel. The authors emphasize that changes in the load and temperature conditions of the wheel tread surface layer have certain dependencies.
The third paper, "Innovative Transport Technologies as a Way to Solve Environmental Problems", explains why the introduction of uST transport into urban environments will not only increase mobility but also significantly reduce the negative impact on the environment.
The fourth presentation, "Risk Assessment Methodology for String Transport Facilities", outlines the principles of risk analysis for uST transport. Specifically, the paper discusses a specialized methodology that addresses terminological issues and establishes scales for the frequency levels of consequences, severity levels, and risk levels.
The fifth article, "Ensuring Functional Safety of the Automatic Door System of String Transport", focuses on the door system as a safety feature.
The sixth study, "Reducing Wind Oscillations of uST Suspended Vehicle Using a Gyrostabilization System", describes the authors' calculations on how to use gyrostabilization to maintain the angular position parameters of the mono-dampers, which are mounted at an angle on the suspension levers, during the movement of the uPod.
