The Executive Director of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), Christian Feichtinger, and Senior Advisor Elena Feichtinger visited the Unitsky Group of Companies. The main purpose of the visit was to gain detailed insight into the fundamental EcoSpace program and the uSpace program for non-rocket near space industrialization.
Dr. Christian Feichtinger has headed the IAF since 2012. The International Astronautical Federation brings together more than 600 organizations from over 80 countries worldwide, including leading space agencies, research centers, universities, and high-tech companies. The IAF is also the organizer of the International Astronautical Congress, the world’s largest platform for discussing space exploration.
The visit continued cooperation established after Astroengineering Technologies LLC, founded by Anatoli Unitsky, became a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) in September 2025 during the International Astronautical Congress held in Australia. The company is the first Belarusian organization to achieve this status.

During the meeting, Anatoli Unitsky presented the EcoSpace program, which is aimed at addressing global environmental and industrial challenges through the implementation of biosphere technologies. Its flagship initiative is the uSpace non-rocket near space industrialization program, which envisages the creation of a geo-space self-supporting flying vehicle encircling the Earth — a General Planetary Vehicle (GPV).
According to Anatoli Unitsky’s calculations, the GPV will be capable of transporting up to 10 million tonnes of cargo and up to 10 million passengers into near space in a single mission, using electrical energy instead of chemical fuel. This approach would enable the large-scale industrialization of near space without harming the Earth's environment. Unlike conventional rockets, the GPV produces no toxic atmospheric emissions and does not deplete the ozone layer.
As part of the visit, an international round-table discussion was held with the participation of representatives of the IAF, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and specialists from the Unitsky Group of Companies. The participants discussed the development of space infrastructure, transport technologies, and international scientific cooperation.

One of the topics discussed was the World Engineer’s developments in the fields of closed biosphere systems, organic farming, and food production technologies for confined environments. These solutions are regarded as an important component of future space settlements and are already being applied on Earth.
Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Pyotr Vityaz emphasized the practical significance of these developments:
“What works in space works just as well on Earth. Technically, all of this is feasible. Our task, however, is not only to talk about space but also to apply these solutions to improve life on Earth. Anatoli Unitsky’s work has the potential to unite people around the world in preserving our planet for future generations.”
The IAF representatives highly appreciated the World Engineer’s integrated approach, which combines the development of space infrastructure with the preservation of the biosphere.
“You take a holistic approach. You do not separate space from Earth. I believe our platform can help promote your technologies and bring greater international attention to this project,” said Christian Feichtinger.

According to the IAF Executive Director, initiatives of this kind are particularly important in the context of expanding international scientific cooperation:
“We have long hoped that Belarus would become part of the International Astronautical Federation. Thanks to your initiative, this has now become possible.”
Senior Advisor Elena Feichtinger, in turn, also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the space sector:
“We are entering an era defined not by confrontation, but by cooperation in the implementation of space programs.”
In his closing remarks at the round table, Anatoli Unitsky emphasized that the ultimate goal of his work is to preserve the Earth's biosphere:
“I understand the laws of physics and recognize how essential biosphere technologies and the relocation of industry into near space are for our planet. Our children, grandchildren, and future generations should not have to walk the Earth wearing protective suits and gas masks. It is highly encouraging that the International Astronautical Federation and we have found common ground and share similar views on many important issues.”


During the visit, the IAF delegation also toured the headquarters of Unitsky String Technologies Inc., Astroengineering Technologies LLC, and EcoTechnoPark, where they were introduced to string transport — another of Anatoli Unitsky’s key technologies, developed in the course of his work on the General Planetary Vehicle (GPV).


Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further cooperation and in promoting the World Engineer’s solutions for near-space exploration and the preservation of the Earth's biosphere.
The next stage in this international dialogue will be the 9th Global Conference on the Non-Rocket Near Space Industrialization, to be held in Belarus on 11–12 September 2026. The IAF leadership has been invited to participate in the forum. Organized by Anatoli Unitsky, the conference is the only international platform dedicated to the non-rocket exploration of space.
